Travelcards

With a travelcard you can make unlimited journeys during the time of validity.

There are travelcards for:

  • 1 day/24 hours
  • 3 days/72 hours
  • 7 days
  • 30 days
  • 4 months
  • School terms
  • 1 year

All these travelcards are not personal, i.e. they are not tied to one particular person; they can be used by anyone - but only by one person at a time.

You choose yourself which day you want the travelcard to be valid from for the 1, 3, 7 and 30 day travelcards.

The the 4 months' travelcards are for set periods of time: January to April, May to August, September to December.

There are some tickets that are tied to one person, and these are the Schoolchild Travelcards (Terminskort and Terminskort Plus), the Summer Holiday Travelcard (Sommarlovskort) and the After School & Weekend Travelcard (Fritidskort) for children and teenagers.

Travelcards on SL Access

Several of the travelcards can now be loaded on the SL Access card as an electronic ticket. If you have an SL Access card you can load and reload it at the SL Access ticket machines found at most Metro and commuter rail stations. When buying tickets at SL Center an commuter rail stations' ticket booths you can get the ticket loaded on the SL Access card.

In future, the SL Access card will replace all old type magnetic strip cards.

Reduced fare for children and teenagers

Those who are under the age of 20 or who turn 20 during the time of the travelcard's validity may use the reduced fare tickets.

Reduced fare for university and college students

Students who study a minimum of 75 per cent of full time studies and who hold a student identity card, may buy the Student Travelcard (ticket loaded on an SL Access card). Notice that the student identity card, as well as the ID card, are to be shown at time of purchase and to be kept available during travel in case of a ticket inspection. The Student Travelcard is for sale on line at sl.se, at SL Center and at the following commuter train stations: Flemingsberg, Handen and Karlberg.

The SL Centers are located at T-Centralen, the Central station, Tekniska högskolan, Slussen, Gullmarsplan, Fridhemsplan and Täby Centrum.

Reduced fare for the elderly

Those who are over the age of 65 or who turn 65 during the time of the travelcard's validity, as well as those carrying a certificate of early retirement, may use the reduced fare tickets.
