There are three zones, A, B and C, and you use tickets called zone tickets, "zonbiljett". The ticket price is dependent on how many zones you travel in.
Pre-paid and cash tickets are used in coupons. You pay two coupons for travelling in one zone, three coupons for travelling in two zones and four coupons for travelling in all three zones.
Tickets bought as text messages or from a ticket machine are priced depending on the number of zones you travel in.
You can use your ticket for transfers as long as you make the change within the hour of validity when travelling in one or two zones. If you carry a ticket for all three zones it is valid for two hours.
Children and youth under the age of 20, as well as elderly people over the age of 65 and those carrying a certificate of early retirement use reduced fare One hour zone tickets.
